She said to me..."they hit Courtney's car....and took off!" It took a few moments to register since I'm not much of a morning person...and I' ve been fighting a cold. She told me she was in her kitchen when she heard a loud crash...looking out her window she was a silver car picking up their bumper from behind the tracker. She realized they had hit her car and was attempting to leave. Which they did. She took off out the door with her car keys to try to catch their plate number...now remember she is 9 months pregnant. She could not catch them. We called the police just in case they can find the person responsible.
I am sure they don't have insurance because the neightbor they were staying with said "he do not have a license." But I think they need to know they can't get away with this kind of action in this country! We need to not cover for others when they do wrong. The wife of the neighbor just brought over the information they have on the guy. But it's only a first name and make of car. At least she tried to do the right thing. The husband said he didn't know him he had just slept there last night.
This pic is the damage to the tracker....you can't see the muffler and exhaust pipe damage underneath. I'm worried about the gas tank but Tom says it's safe. We were extremely blessed to not have more damage!
This is the piont of impact. This glass is from their headlight......
You see Courtney...about 25 feet from me by the first impact site? That is where her car ended up after the impact! A lot of damage was inficted on the hit and run car...all the front end must be gone!
It really bothers me to think we have so many people on our roads that should not be. This is the second time a unlicenced uninsured motorist has caused grief to our family like this. We can't really afford to repair this car...yet we can't not repair it. Crazy!!Our Courtney is super sad since she paid for this car herself as well as taken car of it so well!! Pray for us to find a million.....ha ha! Not something to pray for...but we can wish.
We hope all your Sabbath day activities did not consist of calling the police and cleaning up glass and plastic from the street. Bekah said she doesn't think it looked like a car crash...it looked like to her that a toy was broken. the cars these days are made of so much plastic....it was a true observation.
